BRUNO MARS - GRENADE

What's to like now in R&B? Well, here's a new song that I....love.

Bruno Mars ...GRENADE
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Easy come, easy go
That's just how you live, oh
Take, take, take it all,
But you never give

Should of known you was trouble from the first kiss,
Had your eyes wide open -
Why were they open?

Gave you all I had

And you tossed it in the trash
You tossed it in the trash, you did
To give me all your love is all I ever asked,

Cause what you don't understand is
I’d catch a grenade for ya (yeah, yeah, yeah)
Throw my hand on a blade for ya (yeah, yeah, yeah)
I’d jump in front of a train for ya (yeah, yeah , yeah)
You know I'd do anything for ya (yeah, yeah, yeah) Oh, oh
I would go through all this pain, Take a bullet straight through my brain,
Yes, I would die for ya baby ; But you won't do the same

No, no, no, no
Black, black, black and blue beat me till I'm numb Tell the devil I said “hey” when you get back to where you're from
Mad woman, bad woman,
That's just what you are, yeah,
You’ll smile in my face then rip the breaks out my car
Gave you all I had

And you tossed it in the trash
You tossed it in the trash, yes you did
To give me all your love is all I ever asked Cause what you don't understand is
I’d catch a grenade for ya (yeah, yeah, yeah)
Throw my hand on a blade for ya (yeah, yeah, yeah)
I’d jump in front of a train for ya (yeah, yeah , yeah)
You know I'd do anything for ya (yeah, yeah, yeah) Oh, oh
I would go through all this pain, Take a bullet straight through my brain,
Yes, I would die for ya baby ; But you won't do the same

If my body was on fire, ooh You’ d watch me burn down in flames You said you loved me you're a liar Cause you never, ever, ever did baby...
But darling I’ll still catch a grenade for ya
Throw my hand on a blade for ya (yeah, yeah, yeah)
I’d jump in front of a train for ya (yeah, yeah , yeah)
You know I'd do anything for ya (yeah, yeah, yeah) Oh, oh
I would go through all this pain, Take a bullet straight through my brain,
Yes, I would die for ya baby ; But you won't do the same.
No, you won’t do the same,
You wouldn’t do the same,
Ooh, you’ll never do the same,
No, no, no, no

Shalani Goes Showbiz

I love watching willing willie today. Even though it's not my choice of show I watch it. Curious knowing who would be Willy Revillame's will be co-host.

TV5 isn't that very good in keeping a suspense. In keeping their audience hold on to their surprise. They are advertising that Willy will be introducing his co-host in tonight's episode but they spoiled the thrill by telling giving in the surprise at their afternoon news. And yes, the surprise co-host is non-other than Shalani Soledad. The very pretty, very quiet and a real lady PNoy's ex-girlfriend.

The very controbersial presidential girlfriend is now officially entering showbiz. Wellcome to the chaos-full world of showbiz Shalani! The first day is a success, I think. Though she hasn't the energy of an entertainment host, the excited voice and personality, she did tried the best and be herself (soft voice and very calm). I think that's okay, she will develop in a long term. Soon she will be a vibrant, as talkative and as lively as POOKEE (Pokwang).

We will see more of her in the coming days. I will follow her development in hosting for sure. ^_^

Willie Revillame's back on TV at Willing Willie!!

The most watch, very popular and very, very controversial TV Host Willie Revillame is back on TV.

Revillame's newest program on TV5 "Willing Willie" has been a success, at least I think. The first airing of the show yesterday at 6:30pm October 23, 2010 on TV5 is most awaited by his loyal fans. After all the controversies and all of the issues Willie faced for the past months, he is now back on screen in front of camera with a lot of fans.

Revillame is ousted from his long time mother network ABS-CBN after some
controversy. The root is still not clear of who really violates the contract
between ABS-CBN and Revillame. But after a few months (five months or more I
think) Willie is back again to give joy and prices to the people. Die-hard fans
(excluded me :D ) is so happy to learn that they can watch him again and laugh
with him. And while watching the show, I noticed that he brought with him some of the his staff and crews in previous show on ABS-CBN.

It sure is a long-show. A major comeback! Three hours of showing everyday?
(But Willie promised to make the three hour run to be fun-filled and entertaining. Saturday isn't a rest day even. Because the host announced during his speech that the show will be airing during Saturday at different timeslot (5:00pm-7:00pm)

It is nice to hear that such a talented host could always stand up after every
slip in life. I just wonder is he ever learns from his past mistakes. It is not the first time Willie lost a show because of his deeds and attitude, will he be able to hold on to this new project?? Well, let's watch and see..^_^

Better yet, pray first and ask God's guidance in choosing our leaders. :)

The joys of a child

Who doesn't miss being a kid? I know I do.

As a kid you have nothing to think about but play, eat and play and eat. Your parents are always their in times of your needs and troubles. When you think something came up that you can't handle by yourself, you only have to do is run to mom and dad, or any older siblings.

Now that I am older, and problems are bigger, I know I cannot run to mom and dad, or sister or brother in times of trouble. I know I have to handle them myself.

Seeing my nieces and nephews nowadays do let me remember my happy childhood. The innocence, the beauty of life, the joy. And looking at them smile, who wouldn't smile too?
They have the most innocent smile that brings me joy. That's Zoe, my godchild and niece.

Dengue Prevention and Treatment

In every disease, mild to fatal, prevention is still best rather than cure. The same goes for dengue. So here are some tips to prevent from being a victim:

Dengue Prevention and Control

Prevention is better than cure. It is an old saying that never goes old. Health concerns are very important. If we can prevent getting sick why not do it? Medicine is expensive, so is hospitalization. So to avoid it I'm giving a few tips to prevent us from becoming a dengue victims.

1. Always observed cleanliness both inside and outside of our home.
2. Cover water drums and pails all times so that mosquitoes cannot breed on them.
3. If you have a flower vaces in you home or work area, always replace their water at least once a week.
4. Clear your house of tin cars, jars and bottles that can collect and hold waters if they are not used.
5. Clean gutters and dark corners of your house, old mosquitoes stays their after leaving the waters.
6. There is no vaccine available to dengue but we can try to prevent it by using mosquito repellant sprays that contain DEET.

In the event that the mosquito still make it to bite you with all those preventions you make, here are some tips to treat them the illness.

Treatment for Dengue Fever

There is no known vaccine for the dengue fever. Since this fever is caused by a virus, there is no specific medicine or antibiotic for its treatment.

1. Lots of fluid intake and total rest would be very helpful.

2. Do not take any regular fever medicine without the doctor's supervision. It may worsen the situation and may cuase hemorrhagic complications.

3. Tylenol and codeine can be taken for severe headache and joint and muscle pains. But like alreay said above, better if with doctor's consent.

4. Dengue haemorrhagic fever such as vomiting, bleeding, high fever and severe abdominal pain is a lethal complication mostly affects childrens. Blood transfusion is often recommended to replace the virus infected blood in the body.

5. In case of appearance of any of it's symptoms, call or visit a physician immediately.

dengue

It is rainy season and the mosquitoes are everywhere. Mosquito bites are dangerous. It brought us different diseases. The most common of all is the dengue. Some provinces and cities already declared a 'state of emergency' just because of dengue fever. Dengue is not a simple disease. It could be fatal. And medication is costly.

So, in simple ways, I want to help in making people aware of this disease, how can it be prevented and what are the symptoms of it in order for us to be able to protect ourselves.

What is dengue?

DENGUE is a disease caused by Aedes aegypti virus carrying mosquitos.

We should be aware of this disease. It is not contagious but it isn’t choosy of a victim.

Dengue is transmitted by the day-biting, striped Aedes aegypti mosquitoes carrying a virus. These mosquitoes are very active during the day and specially during the rainy seasons. They mostly lay eggs in a clean, stagnant water such as flower pots, plastic bags, or cans. Transfer of the disease is not person-to-person. There is no such thing. From a single bite of a mosquito carrying the virus is enough for you to get sick. But it is also possible that a mosquito biting a dengue victim to carry the virus and transfer it to another person.

Symptoms of Dengue Victim

Sometimes dengue is faulted to a simple fever or flu. The victims usually ignore them what they feel or what their illness is.
So it is better if we understand and if we can tell the difference from a simple fever to dengue.
Here are some of the most common symptoms:

  • • High fever (as much as 40c) which may last 2 to 7 days. Sometimes the fever will be gone for a day or two. Then returns again.
    • Feeling of weakness
    • Skin rashes. Tiny red spots on the skin called petechiae. Not very visible. You can try putting pressure in the upper arm to stop the flow of blood for a few minutes so that the spot can be seen.
    • Joint and muscle pain
    • Vomiting a dark-colored matter
    • Unsually dark stools
    • Sometimes nosebleeding when the fever starts to subside
    • Abdominal pain
    • Pain upon moving the eyes.
    • Headache.
    • Chills.
    • Sometimes swollen glands.

    It's "BER" time

Time flies. I remember when I was just a fresh graduate, fresh from books and assignments and examinations. I was so excited to the idea of finding a job, building a career and earning my own money. Well, it's been years now. I have my job and I earn my own money for a living. But do I have a career? Sad, but I don't think I do have.

Anyways, I think there's still a lot of time. And yes, time really flies without us noticing. It flew beside us, but we never noticed and we never knew. Only yesterday it is December and it's Christmas. But whoah!, it's 'BER' season again. And Christmas, here it comes...

Yes, it's 'BER' time again and Christmas is the talk of the town. Most of us are getting excited - colorful displays, joyful music and happy faces - all around us. The Yuletide season is very alive now. Many decorates their home already with Christmas parol, Christmas lights and different colorful Christmas decorations. Everybody is shopping for Christmas trees. Some are already looking around for a cheaper but useful gifts and souveneirs.

Another part of Christmas season that is most awaited and looking forward to is bonuses and thirteen month pays by the companies. We are looking forward to it. It is addition budget for this party and is a really great aid for all the expenses we are going to make. This is fun time, yes, but it is also an expensive one. :)

And of course, Christmas parties is always part of the season. School officials, group organizers and company CEO's are all at hard work for the preparations. Mostly are talking about the time, venue, food, the costumes, games, raffles and the gifts. So much to think about and a lot of preparations needed.

It is not a simple task. It could be stressful but it is fun. So, so much to the preparations, what have you plan for the season???

Advance Happy Christmas and Prosperous New Year!!!

    MISERY - MAROON FIVE

    Oh yeah Oh yeah
    So scared of breaking it
That you won't let it bend
And I wrote two hundred letters
    I will never send

Sometimes these cut are so much
    Deeper then they seem
    You'd rather cover up
    I'd rather let them bleed
    So let me be
    And I'll set you free

    [CHORUS]

    I am in misery
    There ain't nobody
    Who can comfort me
    Oh yeah
    Why won't you answer me?
The silence is slowly killing me

Girl you really got me bad
    You really got me bad
Now I'm gonna get you back
    I'm gonna get you back

    Your salty skin and how
    It mixes in with mine
The way it feels to be
    Completely intertwined
    Not that I didn't care
    It's that I didn't know
    It's not what I didn't feel,
    It's what I didn't show
    So let me be
    And I'll set you free

    [CHORUS]

    I am in misery
    There ain't nobody
    Who can comfort me
    Oh yeah
    Why won't you answer me?
The silence is slowly killing me
    Oh yeah

Girl you really got me bad
    You really got me bad
Now I'm gonna get you back
    I'm gonna get you back

You say your faith is shaken
    You may be mistaken
You keep me wide awake and
    Waiting for the sun

    I'm desperate and confused
    So far away from you
    I'm getting there
I don't care where I have to run

Why do you do what you do to me, yeah
Why won't you answer me, answer me yeah
Why do you do what you do to me yeah
Why won't you answer me, answer me yeah

    [CHORUS]

    I am in misery
    There ain't nobody
    Who can comfort me
    Oh yeah
    Why won't you answer me?
Your silence is slowly killing me
    Oh yeah

    my pony - genuwine

I found it good. Found it sexy. And I just love it!!!

I think its wonderful song. I am particular to the music not to the lyrics. And it so much pass my taste.. :)

Until I ask my friend if she wants and old song and ask me what song. I told her the song "My pony by genuwine." But she doesn't knew what it is. So I let her listen to it, and she said, "Oh, it's a sexy song, a little dirty, a bedroom song".

I agree that its sexy but a bedroom song? I am more on a 'pole dancing' song. hehehe.. So I listen to the lyrics...

    And whoooaaa!! It is...

    My pony Lyrics
    Genuwine

    Im just a bachelor
    Im looking for a partner
Someone who knows how to ride
    Without even falling off
Gotta be compatible takes me to my limits
Girl when I break you off
I promise that you wont want to get off

    chorus
If you're horny lets do it
    Ride it my pony
    My saddles waiting
    Come and jump on it

If youre horny lets do it
    Ride it my pony
    My saddles waiting
    Come and jump on it

    Sitting here flossing
    Peepin your steelo
Just once if I have the chance
The things I will do to you
    You and your body
    Every single portion
Send chills up and down your spine
    Juices flowing down your thigh

    repeat chorus (2x)

If were gonna get nasty baby
    First well show and tell
Till I reach your pony tail, oh
Lurk all over and through you baby
    Until we reach the stream
Youll be on my jockey team, oh

repeat chorus (5x) 'til to fade

but maybe you would just like to listen to it.

    Where does your tissues go?!?

Where does your cells and tissues go after your laboratory for a medical check-up?!?

Today most of us have our tissues on file somewhere. When we go to the doctor for a routine blood tests or have our mole or warts removed, the stuff that we leave behind doesn't always go to waste. I even wonder what will happen to those blood excess they get from me when I have my laboratories. They would extract a full 10, 20 or 40 ml of our blood but they would only used a very few amount to use in test.

Say, you want your blood check for a type of blood. You want to know if you are type A, B, O or AB type. They would get a full amount of blood but only use a drop. Huh, what would they do of those excess? I thought they throw it away. But browsing the net, I found out that they didn't.

The doctors put them aside and save them for use to some test especially if you have a certain disease or if you need some especial treatment to attend to or that your illness catch their interest to study. They use those blood or tissues of you for some study.

According to the article I read, the RAND Corporation has published a report in 1999 that more than 307 million tissue samples from more than 178 million people were stored in the United States ONLY and it was increasing by more than 20 million samples each year. These samples came fron those routine medical procedures, tests, operations, and others from donations. What will they gonna do with so much tissue sample?

Scientists use these tissue samples to develop everything, especially medicines such as flu vaccines to botox and beauty care. They would put cells in culture dishes and expose them to radiation, drugs, cosmetics, viruses, chemicals other foreign materials and study their reactions. Without these tissues, there would be no tests to treat certain diseases like tuberculosis and HIV; no vaccines for rabies, measles and chickenpox; there would be no medicine for cancer.

But these tissues are our property, taken from us with the knowledge that it will be use for our treatment. But how would you feel if you learn that scientists earned millions by studying them, without our knowledge? How would you feel learning that some people earn so much from something we own, without our consent?

It's not as if they are stealing our arm, our eyes, or some vital organs. Actually, they are using tissue scraps that we voluntarily given. But people have strong sense of ownership, and those tissue scraps are ours, been part of our body, however tiny they are.

But the question is, can we sue them? Them, who are using these tissues for their gain? I don't think so. Would a feeling of ownership will hold in court? Maybe not.

These cells, these tissues, once part of our body was clearly our property, but once it has been excised, once we voluntarily allowed it to be removed, our ownership rights gets murky.

The article I have researched on discusses a lot more thing. But in the end, the question whether we have the right of those tissues and wether we can charge the scientist, or if we can sue them by using our tissues for study and earning is still unanswered.

So I am thinking myself. Can I really claimed those tissues I parted with voluntarily as mine? Should I react negatively if I learned that my tissues are used for study and for self-gain? Shouldn't I be thankful that in some ways, simple ways, each of us helped in providing something useful and beneficial? But why should we pay so much for medicine when in the first place they have use part of us for free? ?? **(-.\)

It is really a sad story, a sad part of history. The whole country is affected by this very unfortunate event. A tourist bus with its passengers were taken hostage by a fired police official.

I understand the feelings of Chinese and HongKong Nationals, they are afraid..although they should not be but with such event you can really never say what's next. You are enjoying your vacation not knowing it will be your easy way to heaven.

I want to extend my condolences to the family of the victims and to all the Chinese National out there.. And as a Filipino I would like to apologize too.. for what our fellow citizen did. This really affect much to our international relationship and to our tourism programs.

We didn't want it to happen and nobody wants it to happen. And I really hope that tourists will not be so much afraid as to not to come to our beautiful country again... :(

    more myths and beliefs

In our culture, I grew up with old saying that whenever a large colorful butterfly enters your home especially on unexpected day and unreasonable hour, it is said that you have a visitor - a soul, a long dead relatives.

Two nights before our wedding day at nine in the evening some strange and beautiful creature became our visitor. A mammoth.. a very beautiful mammoth. I have the privilege to take a picture of it. It didn't stay all night, but it stayed long enough for us to be awestruck.

My family, especially my parents, believed that our grandmother who died when I was still a kid was visiting. I didn't argue, maybe they are, maybe they are not. But I was happy it did visit, it is such a pleasure to still see some kind of creature that you don't usually see.

I don't know what kind of butterfly or insect or whatever it is. Whats important is its beautiful. My friend says I should have caught it and dried and preserved in a bottle. I think yes, I should have, why I didn't think of it that time? It would be a great remembrance. But thinking back now, I am still grateful I didn't do that, at least the creature still lives and some other people will be blessed to see them. Some other people will be happy in its simple ways.. right?

    birthday cooking :)

it is my husbands birthday! And I want to cook for him. It is my first time to cook for someone. Even if it is my own birthday I didn't cook. It is my sister who always cook whenever there is occasion at home.

So it is somewhat a try out. Hehehe.. But it is a success! They love my corned beef spaghetti.

Haha no cheese grater for you, sorry. :O

My main ingredients for the sauce were plainly corned beef, mushrooms, hotdogs, bell pepper, black pepper, onion, garlic and cheese!. Yummy! Lolz

    a tribute to a comedian

Only last week, I am watching an old local movie titled "Ala eh... Con Bisoy! Hale-hale-hoy!: Laging panalo ang mga unggoy". It makes me laugh and forget worries for awhile.

But only yesterday, the man who makes me laugh..I heard...just passed away with brain tumor with lung complications. He died at the young age of 54.

I am sure I will miss him. I am not much of a fan, but I do appreciate his works and I love watching comedy movies, even if mostly it is corny..:D Well, I believe the cornier, the funnier...:)

So with this small blog, I would like to extend my condolences to the loved ones and to the families and friends of a long standing comedian, who makes us all laugh for three decades.

Good Bye, Redford White... We Will surely miss you.

    the car

I didn't plan to get a bridal car. One of my uncle offered his van so I think, that will do. It was red and my siblings said it's not a good one. But then that will reduce my expenses.

I was set for that van, then on the eve of my Big Day, our neighbor - Mary Anne asked me what time the car will be decorated. I was surprised. She owned a white car. And I think it's perfect for a bridal car. But then I am not renting it. So I told her. Then more surprised when she told me that the car was already rented by one of my primary sponsors!

Wow! I am so glad! Thanks to my sponsor Hon. Conrado Belza! So at eleven in the evening the eve of my Big Day the car was decorated!

    the Invitation..

Among all other preparation -- the ring, the shoes, etc -- this is the part where I was most stressed out. I was late in my invitation cards because I couldn't complete the list.
Primary Sponsors, Secondary sponsors and even the flower girls. But still even though the time is limited I think I found a pretty design.

The cover of the invitation is simply the envelop. But I have a special paper with me that I bought because I thought I'm going to make my own invitation :-). Thanks God I don't have to. So instead of wasting the paper, i used it in this invitation, I redesign it, cover the actual card in a special green one and put the Ribbon (the ribbon though is original in design).
