CRAWL - Chris Brown

one of the hottest song today in rnb is Chris Brown' "Crawl"

I love the song, the melody and the lyrics.

It is a busy week @ the office and I don't have much to blog so will share this lyrics for this time. I Hope u would find it good too..

Chris Brown

Everybody see's it's you
I'm the one that lost the view
Everybody says we're through
I hope you haven't said it too

So where
Do we go from here
With all this fear in our eyes
And where
Can love take us now
We've been so far down
We can still touch the sky

If we crawl
Till we can walk again
Then we'll run
Until we're strong enough to jump
Then we'll fly
Until there is no end
So lets crawl, crawl, crawl
Back to love, Yeah
Back to love, Yeah

[Verse 2]

Why did I change the pace
Hearts were never meant to race
I always felt the need for space
But now I can't reach your face

So where
Are you standing now
Are you in the crowd of my faults
Love, can you see my hand?
I need one more chance
We can still have it all

If we crawl(if we crawl)
Till we can walk again
Then we'll run (then we'll run)
Until we're strong enough to jump

Then we'll fly
Until there is no end
So lets crawl, crawl, crawl
Back to love, Yeah
Back to love, yeaaah

Everybody see's it's you
Well I never wanna lose that view

So we'll crawl (if we crawl)
Till we can walk again
Then we'll run
Until we're strong enough to jump
Then we'll fly
Until there is no end
So lets crawl, crawl, crawl

So we'll crawl (ooh)
Till we can walk again (till we can walk again)
Then we'll run (we'll run)
Until we're strong enough to jump (until we're strong enough to jump)

Then we'll fly (then we'll fly)
Until there is no end
So let's crawl, let's crawl, lets crawl
Back to love
Back to love yeah
Back to love

There are things around us that we just ignore. Simple things that we don't bother to notice. Those are natural things, so common that we never spare even a one double look. But those things might bring joy to some. In little while, in a few moments, in that simple event - one person could smile for a while and forgot in even a single second their trouble, their problems.

This cute little pussy(cat) might not be noticed by some. They may come and go around it without bothering to look at it. But it brings me joy in its simple way. (well, no wonder in that, i love cats. :D )

I was in Ospital ng Makati (OsMak)'s waiting area last February 11, waiting for my sister undergoing a caesarian section. I was worried for my sister. It's been hours since she was admitted in operating room (12:00nn when she was admitted and it was almost 5pm). I don't know how was the operation. We (me and my brother-in-law) were waiting for the call from the operating room when this little pussy(cat) start playing - it is catching some fly. I found it cute when little kittens play. It amaze me. And in that moment i forgot for a little while my disturbing thoughts.

I was so glad for the short disturbance. In its simple way, this kitten helped me and made me glad :-)

free's free :D

It was so early in the morning when i first heard it in the taxi's A.M. band radio. I couldn't believe it at first. I thought it was just a prank, a joke. So I search for it in the internet site and guess what???

It's true!!!

DOH has given free condom last February 14 at the DAngwa Flower Market, the hearts day! Huuwwat????!!!

My reaction was shocked! Really, the Department of Health see Valentines day as a day of SEX?? Maybe people do forget the real meaning of LOVE. Although I admit that the word LOVE this days always carry the word "SEX". To prove love you have to have sex with that person..It's gross and it's not good. Not healthy..But I couldn't really believe that DOH too would consider such thought.

The church do condemn what the DOH has done. It is immoral and vulgar. The bishops said giving customers free condoms for every purchase of flowers would only promote sexual promiscuity especially among young people. It is true..where do you used condom?? do you use it as medicine?? or for food?? Absolutely Not!

Archbishop Emeritus Oscar Cruz said and I quote: "It is vulgar, it is lewd, it is gross. To what extend would they entice young people to be promiscuous? How far are they willing to go in promoting illegitimate carnal relations?"

Dr. Ed Janairo the head of the DOH’s National Center for Disease Prevention and Control, said the condom-giving campaign dubbed “Be My Valentine, Ingat Lagi” was meant to raise awareness for HIV-AIDS prevention and not for family planning. --My God, secretary, what do you think of the people around you?? You're making us for a fool!! Some promiscuous people might like what you have done, or maybe the married couple who wants to make love without creating children may like what you did, But most people might not!!

It is outrageous, it is condemning!! I hope we could still remember the true meaning of love and what we really are celebrating in the day of St. Valentine..*_*

bitterSweeT LoVe

Have you ever been inlove? Ha! The joy of being inlove.*_* I would always like to be inlove. I would never tire of loving. It makes my life wonderful and complete. It makes life normal, natural! The adventure and the life.!

When did I first fall-in-love? I am not sure.. But I am sure when I first shed tears for the one I love.
Well, that was years, i mean really years, ago and I was still then in the first level of college years.
That was maybe the best day of my college years. It was a good relationship. I was so inspired in whatever I do. I tried my best in my subjects. Though people around me said that having a boyfriend while studying is not good. It would only destroy my studies. But of course I didn't listen. I am in-love and happy. I counldn't find any wrong in that. But everyone think I was not good enough for him. So what??? He chose me and I chose him to loved.
Well then, everthing didn't go on so right. Things change and the good - well, atleast I think - relationship ended the same day of our very first anniversay. *SAD*
I cried and cried and cried. But nobody knows that except me and God. I hide the real feelings to everybody. I tried to eat normally, act normally, when deep down in my heart I am breaking into pieces and I wanna hide and I wanna stay in one place and cry. I keep studying my lessons, although of course, most times I couln't focus. There are times when I couldn't make my exams and assignments because tears would suddenly fall without warning. And when I am to eat, I almost can't swallow, that whenever I tried to do so, the food would stay on my throat or came back and I have to throw it up. So what I did is that I wouldn't eat with company. If I have company I have to tried so hard to atleast eat a few so that they won't notice. Being jolly and almost always smiling is my way of hiding what's really I'm feeling. I stayed close to my friends, always finding something to laugh about and always keeping myself busy. I know I have been successful in hiding my broken heart, but I can see the effect of hurting in my appearance. I became so thin, thinner than I used to be. And for the first few months I lost interest in my studies.

But then thank God, one day I remembered my future. What will become of it. It wasn't him I am destroying if I don't study or if I don't eat. So then, I started to think that 'love won't destroy me'. That I have no reason to destroy myself, no reason to hurt myself. I start to focus again to my studies, and always thinking that he's not gonna destroy my future. He hurt me yes, but he cannot destroy me. That's my spirit during those times and I thank God that He helped me recognize that just in time.

It was years ago, but I can still remember the joy of being in-love, and of course the pain. But those pain wouldn't stop me from loving [again]. I had learned to stand again after a fall and I believe that those experiences helped me improve myself and toughen me up. I am in relationship again, and I am in-love. But atleast I am much more mature and much more ready for everything, though of course I wouldn't want those things to happen again. :) I want to stay in-love and be happy, besides it's valentines and it's the month of loving. Cupid is around and busy. And hoping I'm not hindering his tasks. :)

So this month of love, may everybody stay in-love and feel the joy it brings.!!

HAPPY VALENTINES EVERYONE. ^_^ happy hearts happy and be blessed!!

Treatment for the non-hodgkin's mostly are biopsy's..the way they treat different type of cancer. But of course biopsis focused on the affected part of the body in which case in these disease it will be the lymph nodes.

Lymph node biopsy: The removal of all or part of a lymph node. A pathologist views the tissue under a microscope to look for cancer cells. One of the following types of biopsies may be done:

Excisional biopsy: The removal of an entire lymph node.
Incisional biopsy: The removal of part of a lymph node.

Core biopsy: The removal of part of a lymph node using a wide needle.
Bone marrow aspiration and biopsy: The removal of bone marrow, blood, and a small piece of bone by inserting a needle into the hipbone or breastbone. A pathologist views the bone marrow, blood, and bone under a microscope to look for signs of cancer.
Liver function tests: A procedure in which a blood sample is checked to measure the amounts of certain substances released into the blood by the liver. For non-Hodgkin lymphoma, the blood is checked for an enzyme called lactate dehydrogenase (LDH). LDH levels help determine prognosis (chance of recovery).

Certain factors affect prognosis (chance of recovery) and treatment options.

The prognosis (chance of recovery) and treatment options depend on the following:

• The stage of the cancer.

• The type of non-Hodgkin lymphoma.

• The patient’s age and general health.

• Whether the lymphoma has just been diagnosed or has recurred (come back).

• Prognosis also depends on the level of LDH in the blood.

For non-Hodgkin lymphoma during pregnancy, the treatment options also depend on:

• The wishes of the patient.

• Which trimester of pregnancy the patient is in.

• Some types of non-Hodgkin lymphoma spread more quickly than others do.

Most non-Hodgkin lymphomas that occur during pregnancy are aggressive. Delaying treatment of aggressive lymphoma until after the baby is born may lessen the mother's chance of survival. Immediate treatment is often recommended, even during pregnancy.

methods used in non-hodgkin's DIAGNOSIS

The following tests and procedures may be used to detect and cure lymphomas:

Physical exam and history: An exam of the body to check general signs of health, including checking for signs of disease, such as lumps or anything else that seems unusual. A history of the patient’s health habits and past illnesses and treatments will also be taken.

Complete blood count (CBC): A procedure in which a sample of blood is drawn and checked for the following:

• The number of red blood cells, white blood cells, and platelets.

• The amount of hemoglobin (the protein that carries oxygen) in the red blood cells.

• The portion of the sample made up of red blood cells.

• Because lymph tissue is found throughout the body, adult non-Hodgkin'S lymphoma can begin in almost any part of the body. Cancer can spread to the liver and many other organs and tissues.

Blood chemistry studies: A procedure in which a blood sample is checked to measure the amounts of certain substances released into the blood by organs and tissues in the body. An unusual (higher or lower than normal) amount of a substance can be a sign of disease in the organ or tissue that makes it.

Here are some symptoms you should watch out for detecting non-hodgkin's lymphoma. In any case, any of these appears to you, don't jump into conclusion and scare yourself..a visit to your doctor is still the main thing to do to confirm becuase these symptoms may also be a symptoms to other kinds of diseases.

Anything that increases your risk of getting a disease is called a risk factor. Having a risk factor does not mean that you will get cancer; not having risk factors doesn’t mean that you will not get cancer. People who think they may be at risk should discuss this with their doctor. Risk factors for adult non-Hodgkin lymphoma include the following:

1. Being older, male, or white.

2. Having one of the following medical conditions:

  • An inherited immune disorder (for example, hypogammaglobulinemia or Wiskott-Aldrich syndrome). (no idea what that is, maybe I should research that too :D)
  • An autoimmune disease (for example, rheumatoid arthritis, psoriasis, or Sj√∂gren syndrome). (Nope.)
  • HIV /AIDS. (hahaha, now I feel good, know what I mean? I may not have non-hodgkin’s then..^_^)
  • Human T-lymphotrophic virus type I or Epstein-Barr virus.

  • A history of Helicobacter pylori infection.
  • Taking immunosuppressant drugs after an organ transplant.
  • Being exposed to certain pesticides.
  • A diet high in meats and fat.
  • Past treatment for Hodgkin lymphoma.
  • Possible signs of adult non-Hodgkin lymphoma include fever, sweating, fatigue, and weight loss. (well, I gained weight now. :)
These and other symptoms may be caused by adult non-Hodgkin lymphoma. Other conditions may cause the same symptoms. A doctor should be consulted if any of the following problems occur:
  • Painless swelling in the lymph nodes in the neck, underarm, groin, or stomach.
  • Fever for no known reason.
  • Drenching night sweats.
  • Feeling very tired.
  • Weight loss for no known reason.
  • Skin rash or itchy skin.
  • Pain in the chest, abdomen, or bones for no known reason.
  • Tests that examine the body and lymph system are used to help detect (find) and diagnose adult non-Hodgkin lymphoma.

NON-HODGKIN'S LYMPHOMA- common affected parts

As promised, I am putting additional information about this disease..I hope you will find it informational ^_^
and that it may help you understand it more.. :-)

The lymph system is part of the immune system and is made up of the following:

Lymph: Colorless, watery fluid that travels through the lymph system and carries white blood cells called lymphocytes. Lymphocytes protect the body against infections and the growth of tumors.

Lymph vessels: A network of thin tubes that collect lymph from different parts of the body and return it to the bloodstream.
Lymph nodes: Small, bean-shaped structures that filter lymph and store white blood cells that help fight infection and disease. Lymph nodes are located along the network of lymph vessels found throughout the body. Clusters of lymph nodes are found in the underarm, pelvis, neck, abdomen, and groin.
Spleen: An organ that makes lymphocytes, filters the blood, stores blood cells, and destroys old blood cells. It is on the left side of the abdomen near the stomach.

Thymus: An organ in which lymphocytes grow and multiply. The thymus is in the chest behind the breastbone.
Tonsils: Two small masses of lymph tissue at the back of the throat. The tonsils make lymphocytes.
Bone marrow: The soft, spongy tissue in the center of large bones. Bone marrow makes white blood cells, red blood cells, and platelets.
Because lymph tissue is found throughout the body, adult non-Hodgkin lymphoma can begin in almost any part of the body. Cancer can spread to the liver and many other organs and tissues.

(Wow! Maybe I should return to my doctor and have me check again. Some small lymph in my shoulder is still there and I have problem with my throat every now and then. Pray, it should be a simple sore throat.)
You may now in fear and wondering if the your lymps are non-hodgkin's or my next post i will tell you all about non-hodgkin's symptoms. Watch out!

The Fear of Ilness - NON-Hodgkin's Lymphoma

Have you ever fear of getting a very serious disease? Well, I am. I am always afraid of being sick, of being futile, of being a burden to my love ones. It scared me to death whenever I feel something peculiar, something strange in me.

Have you read my entries before, about me being sick? That I was once diagnosed of hypothyroidism and then later on it changed to TB Adenitis? I was so afraid of that time. I fear that having thyroidism I might undergo operation. That my throat might swell. Thank God it didn’t. Then when the test result said I was positive of TB? What the Heck, I didn’t sleep for 2 days until I learned that it was adenitis and the doctor assured me that it was not contagious, that it was different than the common TV.

I became curious of different disease since then. That whenever I heard of an illness so alien to me I always look it up in Google and try to learn all I can get about the certain disease.

I was reading a book one day and one of the characters there is said to have this certain disease I am not aware of, or rather, I don’t have much knowledge about. It is called non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma. I don’t have any indication of what that is. All it said there is that it is some kind of cancer. And I gather from the word lymphoma that it may concern some lymph nodes. Just like the one I have before…TB Adenitis…that I am glad I am cured…^_^

So I looked up at Mr Google and here are some facts I gathered about this non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma.

Non-Hodgkin lymphoma: Any of a large group of cancers of lymphocytes (white blood cells). Non-Hodgkin lymphomas can occur at any age and are often marked by lymph nodes that are larger than normal, fever, and weight loss.

There are many different types of non-Hodgkin lymphoma. These types can be divided into aggressive (fast-growing) and indolent (slow-growing) types, and they can be formed from either B-cells or T-cells. B-cell non-Hodgkin lymphomas include Burkitt lymphoma, chronic lymphocytic leukemia/small lymphocytic lymphoma (CLL/SLL), diffuse large B-cell lymphoma, follicular lymphoma, immunoblastic large cell lymphoma, precursor B-lymphoblastic lymphoma, and mantle cell lymphoma. T-cell non-Hodgkin lymphomas include mycosis fungoides, anaplastic large cell lymphoma, and precursor T-lymphoblastic lymphoma. Lymphomas that occur after bone marrow or stem cell transplantation are usually B-cell non-Hodgkin lymphomas. Prognosis and treatment depend on the stage and type of disease. Also called NHL.

There are many different types of lymphoma.

Lymphomas are divided into two general types: Hodgkin lymphoma and non-Hodgkin lymphoma.

Adult non-Hodgkin lymphoma is a disease in which malignant (cancer) cells form in the lymph system.

Age, gender, and a weakened immune system can affect the risk of developing adult non-Hodgkin lymphoma.

Treatment also differ in different types of lymphomas and the age of the victim.

Non-Hodgkin lymphoma in pregnant women is the same as the disease in non-pregnant women of childbearing age. However, treatment is different for pregnant women.
Non-Hodgkin lymphoma can occur in both adults and children. Treatment for children, however, is different than treatment for adults.

In my next posts will be more additional information about these disease. Parts or lymps that are mostly affected, diagnosis or signs, and treatments. So hold on and join me in learning this disease..^_^

Coffee and Heart disease

The health effects of coffee are still being disputed, and many studies have examined the relationship between coffee consumption and certain medical conditions. Some studies have suggested that the consumption of coffee lowers the risk of certain diseases but may have negative effects as well, especially when excessive. Well, if coffee is taken excessively, there is no doubt that negative effect may encounter. Just like the old saying…everything that is excessive or lacked of is bad…everything should be enough. *_* (Am I so defensive?? :D)

Many studies have been conducted concerning the relationship between drinking coffee and heart disease.

Coffee is also associated with the heart disease. Some said that it affects heart beats thus leads to heart disease. So there are studies regarding this issue. And many of the test results were conflicting. Several reports stated that there was no connection between drinking coffee and heart disease. However, there are two studies that reported out that there was a direct connection between drinking coffee and getting heart disease. One of the problems with coffee is that it contains caffeine. Caffeine is a stimulant.

The first study started in 1957 and continued into the 1960's. This study took place in Chicago and was called the "Western Electric Study". Scientists surveyed over one thousand men while they drank coffee. The scientists observed that there was less heart disease in men who drank three or less cups of decaffeinated coffee per day. Scientists also noticed that there was more disease in men who drank five cups or more of decaffeinated or moderate caffeine coffee. The heart disease death rate was highest in men who drank more than five cups of regular coffee a day. Regular coffee has caffeine.

The second study, "The Boston Collaborative Drug Surveillance Program", took place in the 1970's. These scientists found a higher occurrence of coffee-drinking among patients who had been hospitalized for heart attacks.

Many people in America have started drinking decaffeinated coffee which means the ninety-seven percent or more of its naturally occurring caffeine has been removed.

Now I know, …. But I loooove coffee.. What should I do? Maybe I should start reducing my coffee intake. Or rather, I should drink the decaffeinated one? Hmmmmm…got me to thinking… :D

coffee and it's effect in our SLEEP

Coffee helps a lot to keep me awake. When I wake up in the morning, my first task is to have coffee – hot and strong. When I was studying during my ‘student years’, I drink coffee whenever I have exams to stay awake late at night while reviewing. Now that I am working, coffee helps me stay fully alert and awake while at work. Even though the caffeine in coffee keeps me alert while I am awake, it doesn't always keep me from falling asleep when you are dead tired. Sometimes I drank several cups of coffee before bed and still fall asleep with no trouble at all. Others can't fall asleep after drinking even one cup of coffee before bedtime.

Although coffee is known for keeping us awake and alert, it can also cause a peaceful state of mind. A peaceful state of mind relaxes us, allowing us to fall asleep. It seems to depend on whether our body wants to fall asleep or stay awake, so sleep still depends on us, our body, and our state of mind. Even the ideas in a person's head seem to be a part of whether you sleep or stay awake. If people want to stay awake, they drink coffee with caffeine. If people do not like the effects of caffeine or if they plan on going to sleep soon, they drink decaffeinated coffee which means there is no or less caffeine in the coffee.

Most people I know said that they don’t drink coffee at night or even in the afternoon because they find it hard to sleep. However, it doesn’t seemed like to be my case. I fall asleep whether I drink or not. And there are also times that even if I didn’t drink coffee, I found it hard to close my eyes.

You, how do you find drinking coffee at night affect your sleep?
