Coffee’s Basic Rundown Process

Coffee is a widely consumed beverage prepared from the roasted seeds commonly called "beans" of the coffee plant. Coffee was first consumed as early as the 9th century, when it appeared in the highlands of Ethiopia. From Ethiopia, it spread to different countries. Today, coffee is one of the most popular beverages worldwide.
According to the Webster’s Dictionary coffee is “The beans and cherries of the coffee tree, whether parchment, green or roasted, and includes ground, decaffeinated, liquid and soluble coffee”. The beanlike seeds of this plant are enclosed within a pulpy fruit. The beverages are prepared from the seeds of this plant.

There are two most commonly grown coffee species – the coffea canephora and c. Arabica. Arabica coffee is by far the most popular variety because of it's smooth taste and aromatic qualities.

Basically coffee berries are picked, processed (flesh removed from around the coffee beans), and then they're dried. The seeds are then during which the sugars in the bean caramelize, the bean changes colour, and the true flavour of that delicious drink we call coffee develops. The beans are generally roasted to a light, medium, or a dark brown colour, depending on the desired flavour. The roasted beans are ground and brewed in order to create that beverage we call coffee! That's the basic run down, the basic procedure from which a coffee bean becomes the coffee powder we enjoy every now and then.

Coffee TRiviA

These are some little facts coffee lover - or even not lover but – want to know. I hope you learn something from these :D

• The name coffee comes from the Arabic word qahwah, meaning wine, and not from the town of Kaffa, in Ethiopia (Abyssinia), as many writers have supposed.

• There are twenty-four steps in the "Coffee Process".

• Our knowledge of coffee is about 1,000 years old.

• Coffee was first mentioned in literature by Rhazes, an Arabian physician.

• The use of coffee as a beverage is about 700 years old.

• The most severe punishment for drinking coffee was being sewn into a leather bag and tossed alive into the sea.

Pope Clement VIII was the first to baptize coffee and make it a true Christian beverage.

• "Coffee Smellers" were discharged wounded soldiers employed as spies to "smell out" unlicensed coffee roasting during the coffee monopoly in Germany.

• Goats actually discovered the coffee plant. Their shepherd noticed that they were getting very hyper; therefore, one day, he followed their every move, and found out that they were eating a strange berry that was keeping them awake all day and night.

• Monks used coffee to stay awake and concentrate on what they were doing.

This little facts I have written down here were copied from a blog I have forgotten the site..LOLz..sorry..and thank you..:D *peace*

Coffee and it's history

"A beverage as black as ink, useful against numerous illnesses, particularly those of the
stomach. Its consumers take it in the morning, quite frankly, in a porcelain cup
that is passed around and from which each one drinks a cupful. It is composed of
water & the fruit from a bush called bunnu." -  Leonhard Rauwolf

Coffee is one of the well-known beverages in the whole world. I, for one, loved coffee especially early in the morning. I love drinking coffee in cold weather too.
Coffee helps my digestive system works easily and properly. It keeps my
metabolism in good form. I have a regular waste discharge everyday because of
coffee. So since people still keep telling me to reduce coffee because it is not
good for the health, join me in learning the truths in this topic - coffee.

Coffee originated from Ethiopian province called Kaffa. Although there s still
controversy where it does originated. From Ethiopia, it spread it different
countries in Muslim area. Its popularity boost during the rise of Islam, since
alcohol was outlawed in this religion, coffee was adopted as an acceptable
drink. They called it gahwa which is the old Arab word for wine.
Initially, it was only drank by Arab Sufi monks, but by later years, it was
being consumed by everybody in Islamic world.

From Muslim countries, the seeds of coffee beans was planted in India. These trees are the parents of most coffee trees in the world today. Until now, this part of India
still produces quality coffee beans.

Coffee spread to Italy. The thriving trade between Venice and the Muslims of
North Africa, Egypt, and the Middle East brought many African goods, including this
coffee
.
Merchant introduced this coffee to the wealthy people in
Venice charging heavily for it and introduced it in Europe. It became more
widely accepted after Pope Clement VIII deemed it an acceptable Christian
beverage in 1600 despite the appeals to ban the Muslim drink .

When was the last time have you seen the rainbow? I couldn’t remember when except just this morning. It always amazes me seeing GOD’s creation, GOD’s promise of hope. Hope that everything after bad things—after storm—things will gonna be alright.

I am coughing terribly for a few days, since last Wednesday I think. So when my cousin asked me to join her family to go to the sea I said yes immediately. Although the weather is not good for swimming, I never hesitate to agree. I’d like to smell some fresh sea air. And exercise my lungs and my breathing.
So after my shift at work (which is 6:00 a.m.), without sleep we go to Cavite to enjoy the sun, the cold weather and the sea water.*_*
seashore
On Saturday I was so busy preparing food and I slept the afternoon so I missed the cold water. By early morning of the Sunday, I rise early, walked on the shore and breath cold air. It is so refreshing and the water so calm. The sun is yet so shy to shine. It was a little damp. Few raindrops fell. But by 9:00 the weather is good to take a swim. But I didn’t grab the opportunity. I was sooo amazed by what appeared in front of me..A FULL COLORFUL RAINBOW!! WITH BOTH ENDS IN THE SEA... It was so bright you can never miss it!

cavite sea
It just too bad I can’t get a picture of the full rainbow, I was too near to it and I can’t find a good position a little further.

It was so amazing that I was mesmerized. It stayed atleast for about five minutes and by the time it disappeared, It was time to go to market, so we take the boat and we go to the place called “julugan” where the fishes fresh from fishermen where deposited for market.

rainbow
Hold on, hold on...don’t go looking out for me..I’m holding the camera..LOLz….

So there we go..

After lunch was heaven...with full tummy, we enjoyed the sea..the sun is so proud but it cannot control the sea..the water is freezing cold..but it was worth it. While enjoying the water, some birds want to share the carefree time we had. They were still looking for lunch so we let them.. While at rest for a few moments, the birds take that time to go hunting..

sea bird
I’m not a professional so please forgive my photography… :)
But if you can see those two little birds, you are lucky to share this enchanted moment I’m experiencing.. :D

The rainbow, the kingfisher, and the moment I had was enough to enjoy the weekend (even without voice). Now I’m back to the city and I’m speaking in a whisper or suffer my gruff voice. My throat is aching but my eyes and my heart rejoiced.

you don't love me anymore

I love things - scenes, movies, pictures and even songs - that are funny and naughty..naughty in the sense that it will make me laugh..

Once I heard this song that at first I thought was a love song..well, it could be..just a brutal love song..that is...It is called "you don't love me anymore" by Weird Al Yankovic...he is weird in some ways anyway...:D

Well, if you wonder what I'm talking about, You should read this lyrics if you are not familiar with that song I'm talking about...be ready and have fun...*_*

YOU DON'T LOVE ME ANYMORE
WEIRD AL YANKOVIC

We've been together for so very long
But now things are changing, oh I wonder what's wrong?
Seems you don't want me around
The passion is gone and the flame's died down

I guess I lost a little bit of self-esteem
That time that you made it with the whole hockey team
You used to think I was nice
Now you tell all your friends that I'm the Antichrist

Oh, why did you disconnect the breaks in my car?
That kind of thing is hard to ignore
Got a funny feeling you don't love me anymore

I knew that we were having problems when
You put those piranhas in my bathtub again
You're still the light of my life
Oh darling, I'm beggin', won't you put down that knife?

You know, I even think it's kinda cute the way
You poison my coffee just a little each day
I still remember the way that you laughed
When you pushed me down that elevator shaft

Oh, if you don't mind me asking, what's this poisonous cobra
Doing in my underwear drawer?
Sometime I get to thinking you don't love me any more

You slammed my face down on the barbecue grill
Now my scars are all healing, but my heart never will
You set my house on fire
You pulled out my chest hairs with an old pair of pliers

Oh, you think that I'm ugly and you say that I'm cheap
You shaved off my eyebrows while I was asleep
You drilled a hole in my head
Then you dumped me in a drainage ditch and left me for dead

Oh, you know this really isn't like you at all
You never acted this way before
Honey, something tells me you don't love me any more, oh no no
Got a funny feeling you don't love me anymore

Hehehe..aren't the couple sweet????:D

walakasaloloko.info is a site that helps me cheer up in its simple ways. It makes me smile whenever I opened and read it's entries. I have learned of this site through a friend. I believe that this walakasaloloko.info blog is not created just for fun but for some cause. It is an official entry for an SEO blog contest that proceeds will go to the victims of the typhoon Ondoy. Well, what more can you ask for. I found myself something to laugh, they found joy in creating and sharing funny article, and of course other people in need found help on the way.

ME 'n the FLOWER

ME N D FLOWER

It looked fresh though its not a real one
Its pretty though its just an imitation
It is lovely, meaningful and attractive
But it is just a flower, a plastic flower;

A flower that is starting to bloom
fresh, combined with a color of purple and white,
distinguishes a double personality
Mixed it the natures color: green
and a long thin stem
a long road for human in comparison.

from afar it looks as if its full of petals
but don't you look any closer
for you can be disappointed,
Because closer you get you will discover
only few petals are there - thin and small.

The flower may deceive you afar
You may think she got everything - full and in bloom
But closer she is shallow, thin and fragile.

Me and the flower can be the same,
tough may be outside,
but don't be fooled
look closer and you may find.

chrismas extravaganza!!!

It's christmas time!!! Merry christmas everyone! Well,
what have I done during the christmas week? Nothing much. I worked, and worked
and worked. We are loaded with work this month. Good thing we still have atleast
one day for preparation, December 24, but work still called upon us to render
that day working in the office. But then, since I'm a very "loyal", very
"devoted", and very "good" employee, I'm not reporting to work that day! My
parents came to our boarding house December 23, 9:00 p.m. and I'm not wasting a
day at work and letting my parents mind their life while in vacation here in
Manila. I asked them to come, and they did, why spoil it by working overtime?

This is also a very busy, and very exciting month. For the past few weeks, we
have been giving gifts and tokens, been to mall in late hours, sight seeing for
different christmas decors and been busy looking for a good personal gifts.

Here are some of the pictures I want to share with you all. Pictures that I will
remember always. Moments I will treasure and small gifts that I value.

a. Rustan's decor - how I just loved it. very beautiful!

christmas trees. I love to see the lights and its design. Although worked has
deprived us to look around and sight see some big christmas trees, I managed to
see few, and picture with Santa is taken earlier this month.
